Karnataka deputes Santhosh Lad to Odisha to safeguard Kannadiagas

Bengaluru, Jun 3: Expressing his deep sense of grief and shock at the ghastly train disaster at Balasore in Odisha, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has deputed a team of officers led by Minister Santhosh Lad to rescue and help Kannadigas caught in the accident.

The chief minister has sought reports from the Chief Secretary to Government and discussed with the concerned officers and directed them to visit the spot to ensure the safety of Kannadigas and provide all necessary support to them.

A team headed by Minister Santhosh Lad, accompanied by Manoj Rajan, Commissioner, Disaster Management and other officers has already left for Balasore.
