Udupi: Patients hold protest against poor dialysis facility at district hospital

Udupi, May 29: Dialysis patients held a protest in the campus of district hospital in the city on Monday and urged the administration to resolve the issue of dialysis.

MLA Yashpal Suvarna and Congress leader Krishnamurthy Acharya, who got the news of the protest, rushed to the spot and assured the patients to resolve the issue.

Speaking to media, Yashpal said, “I have visited the district hospital. The government has given contract to Sanjeevini at 120 hospitals. Due to this, the patients are suffering. I have brought this to the notice of the deputy commissioner and government officials and have appealed them to resolve the issue immediately. If government will not resolve the issue, we will take help of private individuals and see that the problem is solved.”

Prema, a dialysis patient said, “I have done dialysis continuously since six years. After an hour of dialysis, we face many issues these days.”
