Puttur, May 29: Inauguration of the new academic year was held at St Philomena P U College, Puttur on May 29.

The programme began with an invocation through a graceful prayer song followed by lighting the lamp.

The president, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, principal, St Philomena P U College addressed the students on how this new beginning is an opportunity to reflect and work with a new sense of purpose.He boosted the students with the motivated line, "Strong desire and hardwork leads to succes".

The chief guest, Fr Stany Pinto, campus director, St Philomena College, Puttur enlightened the students with his speech . He advised students to be the masters in their language. He motivated students not to be lazy instead to work hard , exhibit their talent and to show their creativity and ability.

The programme was organised by the convenors of the student council Prashanth Bhat and Philomena Montheiro.

Philomena Montheiro, faculty of Commerce welcomed the gathering. Bharath Kumar, faculty of Political Science proposed Vote of thanks.
Prashanth Bhat, faculty of Chemistry compered the programme.
