Runway lighting issue – Flight schedule changed at Mangaluru International Airport

Mangaluru, May 29: The flight schedule got disrupted from some time on the night of Sunday at the international airport in the city due to technical fault in runway lighting.

The issue occurred at around 7.45 pm and was resolved around 9.30 pm and the flights resumed their take-off and landing process. The engineering team successfully resolved the fault.

The flight which arrived from Mumbai and was due to land at Mangaluru, was sent to Kannur as per the instructions of ATC of the airport. The flight which had to leave for Bahrain at 8.05 pm was held up for some time. The flights that were supposed to arrive from Chennai and Bengaluru were delayed for the same reason.
