Three Terrorists Gunned Down in Kupwara Encounter

Srinagar, Jul 15: Three terrorists have reportedly been gunned down in an encounter with the army and police forces in a house in Kupwara district here.

The gun battle took place after the army rescued a woman who had been holed up in the house with the terrorists. Sources say that two terrorists are still holed up in the house.

Officials have confirmed that the woman has not suffered from any major injuries. Other members of the woman's family had come out earlier.

According to officials, amongst the militants two are said to be commanders of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) who were responsible for spreading terror in the state.
