Udupi: Leela M Pai, wife of late Dr Kochikar Mohandas Pai passes away

Udupi, May 24: Leela M Pai (90), wife of Academy of general education president, popular doctor of Udupi, late Kochikar Mohandas Pai passed away due to old age at Dr T M A Hospital on May 23, Tuesday.

She was the elder sister of Manipal Media Network Ltd executive president T Sathish U Pai. She is survived by three daughters.

Leela M Pai, with social concern, had worked for the all-round growth of Udupi-based Mukund Shah School by being its convener.

She was also the convener of Kadabettu T A Pai Modern School, member of Sharada Residential School committee and director of Women’s consumer cooperative society.

Her last rites were held at Beedinagudde crematorium on Wednesday.
