Beltangady: Mahila Congress files police complaint against MLA Harish Poonja

Beltangady, May 24: Beltangady Mahila Congress rural unit has filed a police complaint against Beltangady MLA Harish Poonja.

The complaint filed at Beltangady police station alleged that the MLA had made a controversial statement during BJP’s victory celebrations at Kinyamma alias Gunavati Amma auditorium on May 22 that chief minister Siddaramaiah had killed 24 Hindus. Mahila Congress urged the police for suitable legal action against the MLA.

Mahila Congress president Namita K Poojary, vice president Mamatha, chief secretary Sumangala Naik, secretary Sindhu Denis, Revati Ujire and members Kasturi Poojary and Kusuma Macharu were present.
