Beltangady, May 22: The first Holy Communion ceremony for 10 children of the Holy Redeemer Church Beltangady was held on May 21. Fr Walter D'Mello, the parish priest was the main celebrant of the Mass.
Fr Clifford Pinto, principal, Fr Preetham Rego, Fr Henry Madtha, Fr Jesudas and Fr Joyson Saldanha concelebrated the Mass.
After the Eucharistic celebration, all the children were presented with Rosary, scapular and a certificate as a remembrance of their First Holy Communion Day.
After the mass Fr Clifford Pinto introduced and welcomed new parish priest Fr Walter Oswald D'Mello to parishioners. Parish priest Fr Walter D'Mello honoured Fr Preetham Rego who has served the church for six months as a deacon.
