Kundapur: Block Congress celebrates Siddaramaiah taking over charge as chief minister

Kundapur, May 20: Kundapur block Congress celebrated Siddaramaiah taking over charge as the chief minister of the state and D K Shivakumar as the deputy chief minister today.

Party leaders and activists distributed sweets and burst crackers in front of Kundapur block Congress office and shouted slogans.

Congress party leader Ashok Poojary said that they need to review the loss of the Congress party at Kundapur. “However we are fortunate that the Congress party has taken over the reins at the state once again. Let us make sure that the guarantees assured by us reach the beneficiaries,” he said.

Congress district spokesperson Vikas Hegde and block Congress vice president Chandrashekar Kharvi spoke. Mahila Congress president Devaki Sannayya and others were present.

Block Congress chief secretary Vinod Crasta welcomed and compered the programme. INTUC president Chandra Ameen rendered a vote of thanks.
