Udupi, May 19: Congress ticket aspirant and leader Krishna Murthy Acharya had made a vow that he will perform Urulu Seve on five consecutive Fridays and offer nine Atte long Jasmine flowers to Jayadurgaparameshwari deity if Congress wins between 130 to 136 seats and form the government. He fulfilled his Urulu Seve vow on Friday, May 19.

He will be performing Urulu Seve for five consecutive Fridays starting from Friday, May 19 and will offer nine Atte Jasmine to the deity.

Speaking to news reporters after his Urulu Seve, he said that mother Jayadurgaparameshwari had responded to their prayers and made the party win 135 seats to form the government.

“It (the mandate) has enabled us to fulfil the five guarantees announced by the Congress party. We have seen BJP immorally forming the government even when they got just between 110 – 115 seats. Therefore we had prayed for a clear majority and I will fulfill the vow,” he said.

Several party activists were present.
