Panaji, Jul 13: The Photo Journalists Association Goa in association with the Department of Information and Publicity is organizing their annual photo contest in the state.

The contest will be held in two categories, one for school students and other is an open category.

The theme for the Student Category is "Flowers of Goa” and Open Category is “Landscapes of Goa”

All school students studying in the Secondary section (V to X) are eligible to participate in the Student Category.

Interested contestants can submit photographs (any finish) of size 6X8 inches for students and 8X12 inches for open category. For students every photograph should carry the contestants full Name, School stamp attested by the principal/headmaster, address and contact number on the back side of the photographs.

Top three winners in the student category will be awarded cash prize of Rs 1500, Rs 1000, and Rs 750 respectively.

In Open Category top three will be award cash prizes of Rs 2000, Rs 1500 and Rs 1000 along with a PJAG trophy and certificate.

All the selected entries will be awarded certificate of participation. Photographs of the contestants will be displayed at the Art Gallery in Kala

Academy, here on August 19 2011 on the occasion of the fourth anniversary celebration of the Photo Journalist Association (Goa) on World Photography Day.

The Photo Journalists Association  is organizing this competition to boost and propagate the art of photography among the photo enthusiasts and give them a platform to showcase their talent.
