Bantwal, May 10: Tensions flared at the Meginapete booth in Puttur 206 limits when BJP supporters confronted independent candidate Arun Kumar Puthila in the presence of his own supporters. The exchange of arguments arose when the BJP supporters questioned Puthila about any potential agreement with the Congress party.

Amidst the commotion, Congress candidate Ashok Kumar Rai arrived at the booth, adding to the intensity of the situation. The BJP candidates, who were seated nearby, inquired whether the two candidates were collaborating due to an agreement. In response, both the Congress and independent candidates emphasized that any agreement would be revealed on May 13 and challenged the BJP supporters to make their allegations in front of the deity Mahalingeshwara. The confrontation escalated into a pushing match between Puthila's supporters and the BJP supporters.
