Mangaluru: Outreach programme on Indian Navy undertaken by INS Makar at St Aloysius School

Mangaluru, May 9: An outreach programme on Indian Navy was undertaken by INS Makar at St Aloysius School on Monday May 8.

As many as 100 students from 8th, 9th and PU took part in the outreach programme. Lt Cdr Rajath interacted with the students.

The students will get an opportunity to visit the Indian naval ship Makar which has reached NMPT Panambur.

INS Makar is conducting deployment survey operation. Very less number of people from Mangaluru join defence forces and hence there was a need to create awareness about Navy. The students were briefed about the various entry schemes to armed forces as well as to hydrography.

Lt Cdr Varun Rai, assistant head master Lancy D’Souza, student coordinator John Chandran, Diana Goveas, Shabari Ganiga and others were present.
