Mumbai, Jul 10: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy news which has been making the rounds among her fans, has turned a new corner. A section of the electronic media has reported that a bet amounting to crores of rupees has been put on the sex of Aishwarya's baby.

Reportedly, 80 paisa per rupee bet has been put on baby boy and 70 paisa per rupee is put on baby girl!

Some sources say the betting amount could even be equivalent to the bet placed on Indo - Pak cricket matches!

The doctor who is looking after Aishwarya's health is in much demand, it said. He has been flooded with enquiries from people keen to know whether the sex of Aishwarya's baby has been determined.

But diehard fans of the Bachchans ridicule the betting, "People are going to any extent. This is not a matter for placing bets. I have not heard of anyone putting bets on gender," Dr Kuldeep Prasad of Mumbai told the media.

"We must stop this, and media should not highlight this practice," he said

Whatever may be the case, Junior Abhishek is getting publicity like no other unborn baby, at least in India.
