Gomez not in 'Sex And The City' prequel

London, July 10 (IANS) Singer-actress Selena Gomez has shot down reports that she has been signed to play the younger version of Kristin Davis' character in "Sex And The City" prequel.

"That was a compliment and I was very surprised when I heard that - it was very sweet, but there is nothing official and I've never even been approached or anything," digitalspy.co.uk quoted her as saying.

The 18-year-old star admits she is not a "Sex and the City" fan as she was too young to watch it when it first hit the TV screens, adding, "My mum is more of a fan because I wasn't really allowed to watch it when I was younger..."
