Kundapur: Eight injured in KSRTC-private bus collision

Kundapur, May 5: A private bus hit a KSRTC bus in its rear portion after which seven passengers and driver of private bus got injured. This accident occurred on NH 66 near Tallur on Wednesday.

The private bus was plying from Kundapur to Hemmadi. The driver of the bus Manohar was driving the vehicle in a reckless manner and over-speeding. He hit the bus into a KSRTC bus, which was taking a turn at Tallur with its indicator properly switched on by the driver.

Among the injured passengers of the private bus, Rashmita, Divya and Chaithra were admitted to a private hospital in Kundapur, while driver Manohar, passengers Chandravati, Jyothi, Rakshita and Radhakrishna were admitted to a government hospital.

Kundapur traffic police visited the spot and registered a case.
