Addressing reporters at Sri Rama Mandira here on Thursday, May 4, Maravanthe Meenugarara Seva Samithi president K M Vasudeva Kharvisaid  MP B Y Raghavendra has assured them that work on the second stage of the Kerala model Outdoor port will be started soon after the elections.

He said a Japan model breakwall will be erected to prevent sea erosion and subsidy will be earmarked in the union budget to supply Kerosene to fishermen on time. “Therefore, fishermen have held a meeting and have withdrawn their earlier decision to boycott the elections,” he said.
