Udupi: BJP releases poll manifesto for Udupi assembly constituency

Udupi, May 3: BJP candidate for Udupi constituency Yashpal Suvarna and Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat released the party's poll manifesto for the Udupi district.

Yashpal Suvarna said that as per the manifesto the party intends to make Udupi a model constituency during the next five years.

It consists of multi-level parking facility, signal free circle at Kalsanka junction, reconstruction of drainage, scientific drainage facility at 35 ward, Madhwacharya theme park at Malpe, special food zone at Manipal, park at Manipal, amusement park at Swarna river side, security of river banks and continuous water supply through irrigation from Seeta river.

A special manifesto for all-round development of Malpe port and fisheries sector was also released on the occasion.

Various facilities for fishermen and the fishing industry are included in the manifesto.

MLA Raghupathi Bhat, city BJP president Mahesh Takur, rural BJP president Veena Naik, SC/ST morcha’s Dinaker Kattegudde, manifesto creation committee convener Andaru Deviprasad Shetty, members Manjunath Manipal and district spokesperson Raghavendra Kini were present.
