BJP releases manifesto for Udupi district development

Udupi, May 2: Minister of social welfare and backward classes Kota Srinivas Poojary released the BJP manifesto for Udupi district at the district media center on Tuesday, On May 2.

The manifesto includes various development projects for the district, such as a government medical college, an environment-friendly industrial area, a mini port for anchoring boats of country boat fishermen, the Matsyasiri project to support 100 boats for deep-sea fishing, scholarships for the children of construction workers, the Grahini Shakthi scheme, a special package for tourism and impetus for financial activities, a fisheries college and a separate milk dairy unit, support for young entrepreneurs, a water metro for sea travel and tourism, the development of tourism of islands under the government’s control, an airport for Udupi under the Udan project, a two-lane approach road from every taluk center to the district center, and the development of a corridor to connect religious centers and beaches.

Former MLC Tara, BJP president Kuilady Suresh Naik, district Mahila Morcha president Veena Shetty, and district spokesperson Raghavendra Kini were present at the event.
