Udupi: BJP's manifesto is filled with false promises – Congress leader Ramesh Kanchan

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS)

Udupi, May 2: Ramesh Kanchan, Udupi Block Congress president said that the election manifesto of the BJP is full of lies.

Kanchan further said, “When Congress ruled in Karnataka under the then chief minister Siddaramaiah, they fulfilled all promises. Even this time, if the party comes to power guarantee of good schemes is given and party is committed to fulfil them. The BJP has ridiculed the guarantees of Congress party and now added false promises that cannot be fulfilled in their manifesto.

“Earlier BJP promised people of Goa and Uttar Pradesh to provide three free cooking gas cylinders. Once they gained power, they did not even provide empty cylinders.

“Siddaramaiah led government was providing 10 kg rice per person and the BJP stopped it once they came to power. The Modi government is trying to merge Nandini milk with Amul of Gujarat and the free milk promise is just an eye wash.

“The whole manifesto of the BJP is a bundle of lies. Last time they said that they will open Annapoorna canteen. Instead of opening, they closed the Indira canteens opened by the Siddaramaiah government. On the whole the BJP government is fooling people and their manifesto is nothing but an election gimmick,” he said.
