Udupi, May 1: BJP candidate for Kaup assembly constituency Gurme Suresh Shetty campaigned for the party in municipal council limits in support of his candidature and also appealed to citizens to cast their votes to him.
“Prime Minister Modi has decided to take the country to the peak. It is necessary to strengthen his hands for the same. BJP candidates need to win in the state so that the BJP government comes to power. I will devote my life to the service of the people for the next five years if I am elected,” he said.
Mattar Rathnaker Hegde, Sandeep Shetty, Suresh Devadiga, Lata Devadiga, Anil Kumar, Mohan Kaup, Gandhara Suvarna, Rajith Suvarana, other party leaders and activists were present.
