Mangaluru: Attempted murder on victim who demanded money for liquor

Mangaluru, May 1: There was a murderous assault on a person who allegedly demanded money for liquor here.

Talapady resident Makarendra allegedly demanded money from his acquaintance Wilfred Michael D’Souza who was standing in front of Atithi Bar and Restaurant, Talapady on April 28.

Wilfred, who got wild, hurled expletives at Makarendra, threatened to kill and assaulted him. Makarendra fell down on the road and suffered injuries on his head as his head hurt a stone. He is receiving treatment at a private hospital. A case of attempted murder is registered in this connection at Ullal police station.
