Bantwal, Mar 28: The SDPI Bantwal block staged protests at B C Road Kaikamba junction, Bantwal opposing the scrapping of reservation under 2B and urging for its reinstatement on Tuesday, March 28.

Munish Ali Bantwal, the president of the SDPI Bantwal committee, gave an introductory address. Ilyas Mohammed Tumbe, the SDPI national chief secretary, and Bantwal SDPI candidate stated that the chief minister, Bommai, acts as a puppet of the RSS, and that reservation is a part of Muslim’s right. He added that the SDPI will join other progressive organizations and resort to legal campaigns in this connection.

SDPI district committee member Yousuf Aladka, Bantwal block committee secretary Kalandar Parthipadi, block committee member Shahul S H, Bantwal municipal council president Sharif Valavooru, and activists were also present.

Mubarak Goodinabali, an SDPI Bantwal block committee member, welcomed everyone, and Ashraf Talapady, the joint secretary, compered the program.
