Bantwal, Mar 25: “The public of Karnataka have already decided to throw away the 40% government. People in the state are inevitably made to pay bribes and a percentage for every work. Congress is the only party which has the capacity to pull down such a bad government,” said AICC secretary Roji M John.

Participating in the Prajadhwani rally programme held near Karinja cross on Saturday under the aegis of Panemangaluru and Bantwal block congress on directions from KPCC, he said that the second term of the Modi government is coming to an end. “God alone knows when the Ache Din promised by him will come. There is no sign of Rs 15 lacs and the black money. The prices of petrol and diesel have crossed Rs 100,” he said.

“The Congress campaign against the policy adopted against Rahul Gandhi will continue. The growth of all the categories of people is the principle of Congress. The announcement of Ramanath Rai as the election candidate in the first list of the multicultural and pro people Congress party is the headway for Bantwal. BJP people are likely to accept that the Congress government will come to power in the state. They will know only if they look into the term of Siddaramaiah,” he said.

Vidhan Parishad opposition leader B K Hariprasad said that the BJP has lagged behind in the percentage of education results of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi during the BJP term indicating that the BJP governance has affected the education sector also.

“Food, shelter, clothing, health and education should be the priority of the government. Where are the two crore jobs per year promised by Modi?” asked Hariprasad.

Former minister B Ramanath Rai said that he is grateful to party activists and voters for giving an opportunity to contest elections for the ninth time.

Vidhan Parishat member, district Congress committee president Harish Kumar, former member of Rajya Sabha, B Ibrahim, KPCC member Pius L Rodrigues, Chandraprakash Shetty Thumbe, district Congress minority unit president K K Shahul Hameed, district Congress unorganized workers unit president B M Abbas Ali, Panemangalore block Congress president Sudeep Kumar Shetty, district youth Congress president Lukman B C Road, panchayat raj okkoota district president Subhaschandra Shetty, block youth congress president Suresh Poojary Jora, Ibrahim Nawaz Badakavailu, Bantwal block ladies congress president Lavina Vilma Moras, senior leader Jinaraja Ariga, Kavalamandoor gram panchayat president Rajani were on the dais.
