Will run nationwide campaign to seek Rahul's apology: BJP

New Delhi, Mar 16 (IANS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said it will run a nationwide campaign to seek Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's apology over his remarks on the country's democracy in London, if the Wayanad MP does not apologise.

Speaking at a press conference, former Union minister and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said: "Rahul Gandhi has insulted India on foreign soil for which he should apologise. The BJP will run a campaign for his apology."

Prasad said that it has become Rahul Gandhi's habit to insult the people of India and democracy on foreign soil. "How long will he mislead the country?" he questioned.

He said Rahul Gandhi does not apologise, the BJP will run a campaign against him in which the Congress leader will be exposed.

The BJP leader further said that "Rahul Gandhi has not expressed regret for his statement yet".

Addressing the former Congress president, Prasad said: "Your ego is not bigger than the country."

Let us be frank. RaGas statement was uncalled for. The more RaGa is adamant, the more tough its for Congress to win.

RaGa said that the democracy is not happening in India. 1. DeMo 2. Abrogation of Art. 370, 3. CAA/NRC, 4. Overnight announcement of Lockdown. Now please tell me - were these decisions taken after discussing in the Parliament ?? The hot topic is ADANI. Were the contracts given to the businessman after calling tenders and public bids ? What offensive has RaGa said, you tell me. There was sufficient protest by the opposition in the Houses. Were they allowed to express their opinion ?? What demodemocracy is happening in India then ??

Do what you are always kept doing, fool the people, divert attention of the people from high inflation, price rise and unemployment , there is nothing objectionable inwhatever Rahul spoke .

In one side divert people attention from the real issues of Adani and unemployment, inflation, etc whereas on the other blame Congress and save government's face. But what they fail to understand is that the same PM who was then a PM had spoken.

You should have had this guts to oppose when the PM went uninvited to pak to celebrate the birthday of the PM there. When, from a foreign land he boasted 'मै पठान का बचचा हू ' Just shut up you chameleons, don't want lesson from you cheap mongers. Rahul Gandhi didn't go to Cambridge as india's representative, he went on invitation. He spoke against democracy, not against the nation. Modi globe trotted as India's PM and cribbed about Congress party. Needed to do so ?

Best strategy to divert and further divert public attention from local to national level misdoings.... Lamp is almost extinguishing and it is burning the brightest flicker... bajapa and Modi/shah jodi has fooled people enough.... Now is the time for people to wake up and throw these guys out of power... Let them do the nagpur drills for introspection/soul searching.... they will find the smallest possibility to hide the modani and other issues now....

First let the Central Government reduce price of petrol and diesel. Crude prices fallen by 12%. I thought retail price of petrol and diesel moves according to international crude prices. But in this case only when crude increases retail price goes up not the other way.
