Mangaluru: Srinivas University, Mukka holds blood donation camp

Mangaluru, Mar 12: Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University, Mukka organized a blood donation camp on March 7 at 9.30 am at the blood bank.

The dignitaries for the day were Dr David Rosario (medical superintendent), Dr Madhukara Devadiga (blood bank medical officer), Freeda D’Souza (operation manager), Prof Pavana Krishnamoorthy (dean, IAHS) and Dr Beena H B (dean, IAHS).

The students and faculties of IAHS actively participated in this blood donation camp and more than 60 units of blood were collected from this camp and was given to Srinivas Hospital, Mukka.

The hospital had arranged refreshments for the blood donors. Students and other people who had participated in this blood donation camp were given a certificate as a token of appreciation. The event ended by 4 pm.

Organizers of the programme were Naveen Bappanadu, course co-ordinator of Medical Laboratory Technology, Anjally Devasia, assistant professor, Maureen Edwards, assistant professor and July Mary Johnson, assistant professor.
