Udupi: KMC Manipal hold Hands-on Forensic Medicine & Toxicology training Programme

Udupi, Feb 5: The department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Manipal, had hosted a one-day training program for the Police personnel of Udupi district at KMC Manipal, recently. 
 
S T Siddalingappa, additional superintendent of Police, Udupi, inaugurated the training programme. Dr Avinash Shetty, MS of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, was the guest of honor for the inaugural function. Dr Avinash Shetty encouraged the participants and assured them of help and support in conducting similar trainings in the future. Dr Krishnananda Prabhu, associate dean, KMC Manipal, gave the welcome address for the inauguration ceremony and an overview of the training programme. Dr Vikram Palimar, professor and head of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, proposed a vote of thanks.  

 

The inaugural function was followed by introductory sessions conducted by the departments' faculty on the Forensic Medicine and Toxicology training programme. More than 100 police personnel participated in the programme.
