Mangaluru: Carmel School appreciates student achievers of January

Mangaluru, Feb 3: Carmel School appreciated the young achievers for showcasing their capabilities in various spheres like karate, chess and football bringing laurels to the school.

Arushi of class 7B secured 4th place in Karnataka state schools chess Championship 2023 organised by New Tumakuru District Chess Association and M.M chess development Trust and first place in Rapid Chess Tournament under 13 category, held at Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill organized by Derik’s Chess School, Mangaluru.

Madhavi Pai B of class 1A secured 5th place in Rapid Chess Tounament organised by Sri Narayana Guru School of chess, Udupi under 7 category,

Kahani Y of class 3B secured 4th place under 9 girls category in rapid Chess Tournament held Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill organized by Derik’s Chess School, Mangaluru .

Nikhil Rai of class 9A secured 1st place in Individual Kata and Individual Kumite,in 33rd State Level Interdojo karate championship organized by Institute of Karate and Allied Arts, Mangaluru.

Dhanvi Nayak of class 3A secured first place in Individual Kata in 33rd State Level Interdojo karate championship organized by Institute of Karate and Allied Arts, Mangaluru.

Naima Sara Varghese of class 4B secured first place in Individual Kata and Third place in Individual Kumite in 33rd State Level Interdojo karate championship organized by Institute of Karate and Allied Arts, Mangaluru.

Shreesha R Sreekanth of class 4B secured 2nd place Individual Kata and Individual Kumite, at 33rd State Level Inter Jodo Karate Championship 2022 organised by Institute of Karate and Allied Arts, Mangaluru.

Niharika of class 6C secured 4th place in Kumite Female 55 kg Kata organised by Institute of Karate and Martial Arts IKMA at US Mallya Indoor Stadium, Mangaluru.

Karl Shane Pinto of class 1B secured 1st place and 3rd place in Individual Kata and Individual Kumite below 8 years category in 33rd State Level Interjodo Karate Championship . He also secured 3rd place in Individual Kata Male Orange Belt below 8 year category at 40th BKI National Karate Championship 2022.

Manvith Noronha of class 4C has won Gold Medal in Football tournament held at Mangala Magnus organised by ICYM, Paldane.

Aathmika G of class 2A secured Third place in Individual Kata and Individual Kumite in 33rd State Level Interdojo karate championship organized by Institute of Karate and Allied Arts, Mangaluru

The principal and the staff congratulated the budding achievers on their well-deserved success.
