Udupi: MAHE to conduct 5th national conference on 'Management of Modern Libraries'

Udupi, Jan 31: Department of Library & Information Sciences – (DLIS), Manipal, is a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), a premier department in the Library & Information Sciences field. Founded in 2011, the institute has completed 10 glorious years as a part of MAHE, an institute of eminence. MAHE is very glad to inform that SEARCH – The KMC Health Sciences Library & Department of Library and Information Science, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, Karnataka is organizing the 5th National Conference on Management of Modern Libraries (NACML) – 2023 on the theme of the Conference: User-Centric Library Systems and Services: Trends and Challenges.

The conference is scheduled for the February 3-4 on the Dr TMA Pai Hall-1 1st Floor, KMC Administrative Building, Manipal.

The inauguration will be on February 3 at 10.00 am. The event will be inaugurated by chief guest Dr H S Ballal pro chancellor, MAHE, Manipal and will be attended by a host of dignitaries such as Dr Sharath Kumar Rao, pro vice chancellor (Health Sciences), MAHE, Manipal, Dr PadmarajHegde, dean, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. conference director: Dr Gururaj S Hadgali, associate professor Department. of Library and Information Science, Karnatak University Dharwad, Karnataka, conference convener: Dr Shivananda Bhat K, professor and chief librarian, department of Library and Information Science and KMC Health Sciences Library, MAHE, Manipal, conference coordinator: Dr Mahabaleshwara Rao associate professor and deputy chief librarian, Department of Library and Information Science and KMC Health Sciences Library, MAHE, Manipal. The expected number of participants is about 200.
