Mangaluru: Dr Sandhya Shenoy recieves grant from SERB, DST to carry out research

Mangaluru, Jan 28: Dr Sandhya Shenoy, associate professor from department of Materials Science and Engineering of Institute of Engineering and Technology, Srinivas University, Mukka has been granted an amount of Rs 46 lac by Science and Engineering Research Board, department of Science and Technology, government of India to carry out research on thermoelectric materials. The grant is provided to discover materials which can convert heat to electricity directly and efficiently and thus play a significant role in future energy management.

She has also been awarded certificate of appreciation as top 5% highly cited author internationally by Royal Society of Chemistry, London for the previous two consecutive years.

These achievements have been highly appreciated by honourable Chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, pro-chancellor Dr A Srinivas Rao, vice-chancellor Dr P S Aithal, registrar Dr Anil Kumar of Srinivas University and dean Dr Thomas Pinto of SUIET.
