Mangaluru: Tulu movie ‘Paper Student’ witnesses grand release at Cine Galaxy

Mangaluru, Jan 13: Tulu movie ‘Paper Student’ directed by Vadiraj K Uppoor under the banner Pratham film productions was released on January 13 at Cine Galaxy, Surathkal.

Director Vadiraj K Uppoor, actor Harshith Shetty, actress Deena Poojary, Tulu Sahitya Academy award winner Krishnappa Uppoor, writer Yogesh Kanchan, Yashwanth Boloor, mother of Vadiraj, Meera K Uppoor and others were present during the release event,

‘Paper Student’ revolves around a group of friends and their journey through dance, the competition they face and how they emerge out of it.

‘Paper Student’ marks the debut for most of the actors and actresses. Harshith Shetty and Gagan Alva are playing the male lead. Yashaswi Devadiga, Salome D'Souza and Deena are the female lead. Other cast members include Akarsh, Nireekshith, Sai Ram, Shabari, Shriya, Sachin Kumble, Manvi, Prasad Kumar, Ramya Sudhindra and others. As many as 152 actors have acted in the movie.

Apart from directing the movie, Vadiraj has produced the film under the banner Pratham Film Productions, penned down the story, lyrics, screenplay and dialogue for the movie.

‘Paper Student’ is captured by Mahabaleshwar Holla, lyrics are penned by Sheena Nadoli, Deepthi Nikshit, and edited by Subramanya Holla. Shailesh Chethan, Vinayak Baliga and Prakash Bhanushali are part of the direction team.

President of Tulu Sahitya Academy Dayanand Kattalsar and president of Beary Sahitya Academy Rahim Ucchil have given special appearances in the movie.
