Will burn Shah Rukh Khan alive: Ayodhya seer

Lucknow, Dec 21 (IANS): Seers from Ayodhya have now waded into the controversy over Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Pathaan'.

Mahant Paramhans Acharya of Tapasvi Chhavni, has said that he would even go to the extent of burning Shah Rukh Khan alive if he ever met him.

Paramhans Acharya added that the saffron colour has been insulted in the 'Besharam Rang' song.

"People of our Sanatan Dharma are protesting continuously regarding this. Today we have burnt the poster of Shahrukh Khan. If I get to meet the film Jihadi Shah Rukh Khan, I will burn him alive," the seer said.

Acharya did not stop at that. He went on to say that if 'Pathaan' film was released in theatres, he would set them on fire.

He also appealed people to boycott 'Pathaan'.

Earlier, the priest of Hanuman Garhi, Mahant Raju Das, had also protested against the film.

Politicians and right-wing supporters are protesting over saffron coloured outfits in the song 'Besharam Rang' in the film.

    These kind of Sanskari babas have no respect for law & order. BJp controlled Certification board itself cleared the scenes of the movie. Why did they not censor it before clearing it. To create an environment of unrest?

    Pathaan film is directed by Siddharth Anand ; Screenplay by Shridhar Raghavan ; Story by Anand. Produced by Aditya Chopra. There is a big list of BJp ministers who danced in vulgar scenes with bhagwa colour: Jai Kishan, Nirhua, Manoj Tiwari, Akshay Kumar. Further, Smriti Irani wore bhagwa color Bikini top in Femina Miss India 1998. But this great Mahathma wants to burn Shah Rukh Khan. Why? Did he wear a Bhagwa coloured bikini?

    Nawaz bhai . Even muslim leaders wanted to boycott pathan movies . Hope you didn't see that news . Muslim think that panthan is a respect people in muslims...Dont see with one eyes

    Much ado about nothing... Thing of an art has always been misunderstood and misinterpreted from time immemorial... Honest human expressions are easy to trample on when in position of strength... None of us have even seen the movie and prejudice is already filling the air...

    1. Saffron is not owned by the Seer nor the community he belongs to. 2 A dance/song scene in a film is a last step, before that there is song writer, singer, music team, choreographer, film producer, director - why target SRK alone ?? Where do you deposit your brains upon taking up seerhood ??
