Mangaluru: Star-studded Tulu movie ‘VIP’s Last Bench’ hits screens

Mangaluru, Dec 16: The most eagerly awaited Tulu movie ‘VIP's Last Bench’, produced by Aashika Suvarna under the banner of A S Productions and directed by Pradhan MP, released on December 16. The movie will be released in different multiplexes and theatres in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts and in some foreign countries too. The movie was shot in several exciting locations around Mangaluru.

Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, MLC Manjunath Bhandary, film producer Prakash Pandeshwar, businessman Suresh Shetty Gurme, Kulai Madhav Bhandary, KK Pejawara, journalist Jagannath Shetty Bala and others were present.

VIP's Last Bench is Tulu's first multi-hero movie. It tells the story of the college life of three irresponsible boys. But the story takes a twist later. All famous film stars like Pruthvi Ambaar, Roopesh Shetty, Vineeth Kumar (all three stars appearing together for the first time on screen), Atharva Prakash Pandeshwar, Vismaya Vinayak, Ravi Ramakunja, Praveen Markame, Aaradya Shetty, Niriksha Shetty Puttur, Roopa Varkadi, Anita, Isiri, and Prarthana Suvarna play important roles in the film. The director, Pradhan MP, has given plenty of opportunity for new talents.

Although a comedy, the movie also has a sentimental story. Comedy kings Arvind Bolar and Bhojaraj Vamanjoor deliver the punches. Sachin Mada plays a villain.

VIP's Last Bench is coproduced by Kiran Shetty. Kishore Kumar of BoyZone Dance Academy and Murali Shriyan from Fix Art Entertainment are the executive producers. Keerthan Bhandary and Srujan Pejavar have penned the lyrics and dialogues. Raju Biligiri, Anand, Suman Suvarna, and Harish are the assistant directors. Camera is by Prasanna Kumar, Vinayaka Acharya, editing by Sachin Ganesh and music by Vinyas Madhya.

In a grand gesture for Tulunadu film industry, the movie is supported by Suresh Rao Kokkada, founder and CEO of Time and Tide, the leading event management firm of the coastal region which has 25 year track record of delivering spectacular star-studded events year after year.
