Mangaluru, Farla, Dec 8: Our Lady of Vailankanni Church, Farla celebrated its annual feast on Thursday, December 8 with cheerfulness and enthusiasm. The nine-day novena prayers were dedicated towards various intentions related to devotes, youths, priest, sick, elders, married couple, donors, children’s and families.

Prior to the solemn Eucharistic celebration the sponsors were honoured with special candle by Fr.John Prakash Pereira, parish priest. The main celebrant of the Holy Eucharist was Msgr. Maxim L. Noronha, the parish priest, the priests from the deanery, Pallottines priests from all our India and outside the deanery were concelebrants. The theme of the feast was “Like Mary let us build a community which gives witness to God’s word”.

The faithful actively participated in the Holy Eucharist and received the blessings of Our Lady of Vailankanni. The faithful also prayerfully prayed the rosary in the shrine of Our Lady of Vailankanni before the Holy Eucharist.
