JE vaccination given to two lac children in Mangaluru, Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 8: Under the precautionary campaign to prevent brain fever (Japanese Encephalitis) among children in the age group of one to 15, 2.04 lac children were administered the JE vaccine in three days.

In Dakshina Kannada, JE vaccine was given to 1.17 lac children, while in Udupi district, 87,679 children were vaccinated.

In Dakshina Kannada, 17,595 children of Bantwal, 16,398 of Beltangady, 57137 of Mangaluru, 16,912 of Puttur and 9,692 of Sullia received JE vaccination.

In Udupi, 36,177 children of Udupi taluk, 32,809 of Kundapur and 18,693 of Karkala taluk were given the vaccine.
