Puttur: Mortal remains of truck driver found in forest

Puttur, Dec 5: The mortal remains of a man were found in a prone position in a forest on December 2.

The deceased is identified as Devaraja, son of Nagappa Gowda of Dolpady village in Kadaba taluk.

Devaraja is a truck driver and had married Navoor Anitha of Kaniyoor village 13 years ago. They have two children. Devaraja used to quarrel with his wife frequently under the influence of alcohol. Family members had advised Devaraja against his addiction to alcohol. On November 28 also Devaraja fought with his wife and his father Nagappa had come home and advised him.

On November 29, Devaraja went missing. Search for him by family members and locals did not yield any result. In the complaint filed it is said that Devaraja’s body was found in a prone position in the Kojambady forest area under Dolpady village on December 2.

A case of unnatural death is registered in Kadaba police station.
