Udupi, Nov 30: The 18th annual day of GM Vidyaniketan Public school was held on November 25 and 26 with grandeur.
Revathi Nadgir, vice president Tapovana lifestyle private limited was the chief guest for the programme. Addressing the gathering Revathi Nadgir said, “GM Vidyaniketan is always supportive for students talents. Future of our country is being shaped here”.
Siddharth J Shetty, president Moodlakatte institute of technology was the chief guest for the afternoon programme. On the occasion he said, ”Every child is filled with special talents. We need to give importance to every child for its individual development. Teachers should adopt new teaching techniques. Children should inculcate language skills also”.
Brahmachari K N, principal unfurled the school flag. Speaking on the occasion he said, “GM is supporting the all round development of its students and is organizing various activities for the same”. He read the achievements of the students who had excelled in the national and international events in curricular and co curricular activities.
Dr Jayakar Shetty, vice chancellor Bengaluru university was the chief guest for the second day of the annual day celebrations. Appreciating GM Vidaniketan public school he said, “This institution is giving world class level education for the students. It aims to provide quality education. Dream of many parents is fulfilled here in GM Vidyaniketan public school. Students should have a definite goal in their life. They should be courageous to face both failures and victory. GM is providing all these opportunities for the students”.
Prakashchandra Shetty, president school management committee on the occasion said, “It has been two years since we haven’t celebrated the annual day. I want to thank all the parents who have backed us in these hard times. I am also great full for all the staff members of GM. Our achievements should not be stalled water, it should be a flowing water. Let us work together to build better future for children”.
Top scorers of class one to class ten were felicitated on the occasion. Medha team won the overall championship in the activities held.
More than 2500 children exhibnited their talents during the two days annual day. Dance, singing, chende, and various other cultural performances were held. Dance performances by the students of GM global school added colors to the event.
Staff completing five, ten, fifteen years of service in the school were felicitated on the occasion. Vijendra and Chandan Shettigar were also felicitated on the occasion.
