Moodbidri: Girl of different faith found in youth’s room; right-wing activists, police intervene

Moodbidri, Nov 29: A Hindu girl was found in the company of Muslim youth in his room at Kochakatte of Perabe village near Alangar on the November 27 evening.

The Hindu girl is native of Manjeshwar and she was in touch with Muslim boy from Mudipu. At present, he was staying in his rented room at Kochakatte of Perabe village due to some work. It is said that he had asked the girl to come to his room.

Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) activists who got the information rushed to the rented room. However, the Muslim youth sent the girl from the backdoor before the HJV activists arrived and he also escaped from the spot.

HJV activists inquired the Hindu girl and informed Kadaba police, who arrived on the spot and took the girl to station and handed her over to her parents after inquiry.

According to the information provided by locals, there were two Muslim youths in the room and the name of the youth who brought this girl to the room is Sawad. Both youths escaped from the room when the HJV activists arrived.

Kadaba police are investigating further.
