Udupi: Thieves break into gold ornaments manufacturing unit, steal valuables worth Rs 6.3 lac

Udupi, Nov 26: Thieves broke the lock of a gold ornaments manufacturing unit at Kelakarlabettu and decamped with golden ornaments worth Rs 6,30,000 on the wee hours of November 25.

According to the complaint filed by Deepak Ramdas Nayak, manager of gold ornaments manufacturing unit, on the morning of November 25 he received a phone call from Mangaldeep Mondal, who works for the company saying that someone has entered the facility by breaking open the lock. The stolen ornaments included a half made necklace and gold that was kept on wax. Total weight of the stolen gold is 126 gram and the value is mentioned as 6.3 lac.

A case in this connection is registered in Malpe police station.
