Panaji, May 16 (PTI) Sesa Football Academy's Nicholau Colaco will lead the 20-member Goa team for the National Football Championship amid hopes that they would better their semi-final performance of last year and return with the coveted Santosh Trophy which they won two years back.
Kingfisher, the sponsor for the Goa Professional Football League, will take care of the travelling and kitting expenses of the Goa team.
The team will leave tomorrow for Guwahati to take part in the ongoing 65th National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy 2010-11. They will play their first quarter-final match on Friday.
Addressing a press conference here today, Goa coach Peter Valles, who is also the assistant coach of Salgaocar Sports Club, said the squad has a mixture of youth and experience.
