Moodbidri: State level essay competition winner Reshel Fernandes felicitated

Moodbidri, Oct 2: Reshel Britney Fernandes, first prize winner at State level in essay competition was felicitated by Corpus Christi Church, Moodbidri on October 2.

Teachers Reshel Britney Fernandes, daughter of Ronald and Nancy Fernandes bagged the first prize at the state level in an essay competition jointly organized by East West Technology Institute, Bengaluru and Disha Bharat on the theme, ‘Swarajya Aandolana Mattu Raastrabhava Jaagarana’.

Fr Onil D’Souza the parish priest of Corpus Christi Church, Moodbidri felicitated her with a shawl. The guest priest Fr Anil Alfred D’Souza, director of Family Life Service Centre of Mangalore Diocese offered a bouquet of flowers.

Fr Onil D’Souza, on this occasion, called on the children present to draw inspiration from Reshel to think out of the box instead of restricting their mind only to conventional way of scoring marks. He called on the parents and elders to encourage their children in this regard.

John Menezes, vice-president of the Parish Pastoral Council and Ronald Serrao, secretary; Ronald Fernandes, father of Reshel and large number of parishioners were present on the occasion.
