Mangaluru: Daylight robbery at Bejai – Gold ornaments stolen

Mangaluru, Sep 30: Gold ornaments worth Rs four lac were stolen from a house at Bejai New Road in the city on Wednesday between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm.

The woman, living in the house had locked the house and gone out at 10.30 am. When she returned at 12.30 pm she saw that the backdoor of the house was open.

Thieves who entered the house from backdoor have stolen one gold bangle weighing 28 gram, two chains weighing 40 grams and eight grams, one pair of ear rings weighing one gram from the cupboard of bedroom. The total value of stolen gold ornaments is Rs four lac.

Urwa police are investigating further.
