Puttur: Police arrests absconding shootout accused

Puttur, Sep 26: City police arrested the accused who was absconding without attending hearing in court.

Hanif alias Jogi Hanif, resident of Kepu village in Vittal who was arrested by the police was accused in the shoot out incident that occurred in 2019 near Kallandadka of Kodippady village.

Hanif was involved in the shootout that took place on Abdul Khader of Kallandadka. He had secured bail and went underground in Mumbai.

Puttur police got information through sources that Hanif had come to Vittal a week ago. He was apprehended and produced in court. He is remanded to judicial custody.
