Beltangady: KCWA-CKSK disburse fifth year ‘Suvidya Educational Interest Free Loan’

Beltangady, Sep 25: The Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra(CKSK) supported by Kuwait Canara welfare Association (KCWA) organized Suvidya 2022 interest free loan at Vimukti, Beltangady for higher education of the economically poor youths of Diocese of Mangalore on Sunday, September 25.

As many as 15 students had applied for Suvidya 2022 scheme. The program began with a prayer song sung by Laveena and Fr Vinod Mascarenhas welcomed the resource person, Fr Jerome D’Souza with a floral bouquet.







Later Fr Jerome explained in detail various disciplines and its allied job opportunities. He asked the youths to strive hard with ambition and come out with flying colours to achieve something in life. He explained various job professional courses and opportunities that are available in various sectors and various well known universities. He asked the students to be cautious while selecting professional courses and universities. He also answered many of the questions and doubts raised by the students. Finally he thanked the CKSK for coming forward to support youths for their higher education. He thanked all the donors of Kuwait Cannara Welfare Association for initiating and supporting the youths for their higher education.

Fr Vinod, director of CKSK thanked Fr Jerome for sparing some time on Sunday to talk to the students and instil in them confidence and motivation. He in his address to the youths, asked them to widen their knowledge beyond their professional course by reading the national news dailies. He asked them to choose the right material and books to enlarge their world view which will shape their personality. Further he reminded the students their duty to repay the loan though it is interest free and make provision for others to avail it. As he concluded he thanked wholeheartedly the president of KCWA, the Office bearers and all members for supporting such as venture. As an appreciation for their great sacrifice and generosity, the audience spent few minutes in silence praying for their wellbeing.

Fr Rohan Lobo, the project manager explained in details the requirements and guidelines that has to be followed by all the Suvidya applicants. A total of Rs 6,01,000 was disbursed for this year. Lastly the students were distributed with cheques as per their claims.

Laveena thanked all and compered the program.
