Nativity Feast : Dubai - Belman Parishioners

Dubai, Sep 19: “Sakkad sangatha melya, sakkad lagi sarya.” On the occasion of the Nativity feast, the parishioners of Belman gathered at Al Mas Hotel Apartment to celebrate the feast from 7:30 PM onwards.

Celebration of Nativity feast is a regular fixture for the parishioners of Belman and this year was not an exception.

President of the Bethkati, Walter Monteiro welcomed the gathering of around 150 parishioners and guests.

The trademark to nativity feast “The offering of the flowers,” with enthusiastic children offering the flowers to Mother Mary was followed by the prayer ceremony.
The entertainment program included a solo dance from Calida. Delvina, Inish and sheema performed a group dance.
















































Ivan D’souza Master of Ceremony for the evening conducted few spot games for the crowd. He also conducted a game for children.

Deepak Machado laid down a plan for the future activities which involved opening of a library at Belman church for parishioners, conducting various competitions at school to encourage participation from children and so on. The plans are targeted at youth to bring forth their capabilities and creativity. He was accompanied by Jayson Danthy. The plans received a nod from the crowd to go ahead.

This was followed by a sumptuous “Novem Jevann” prepared by Canara Restaurant. Sugarcane (Kobu) was distributed which gave complete enjoyment of feast.

The programme was concluded by distribution of prizes. Secretary  Luwi D'souza proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked the sponsors and the people who worked for the success of the program. And parishioners for their continued support, co-operation and encouragement.

It was a day of joy and Happiness and the entire Participant were happy, having come together to celebrate this Feast and to honour Mother Mary on her Birthday.

    which will not be possible but for the unitry of people of Belman.Thank u walty. I do not know whether you have given up the teaching profession and gone to UAE.
