Mangaluru: Graduation Day held at Father Muller Medical College

Mangaluru ,Jan 16: The Graduation Day of Father Muller Medical College was held on Saturday January 16 at Father Muller Convention Centre.

As many as 111 MBBS students received their graduation certificates during the ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, vice chancellor of Mangalore University Dr P Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya said, “I congratulate all the graduates. A doctor’s profession is one of the noblest professions in the world. Doctors are in the place of God for the poor, sick and destitute. You all need to have capacity and willingness to perform. Always respect your profession. I salute all the Covid warriors who stood firm during this critical situation. Now it is time to give something in return to the society through your profession.”

Bishop of Mangalore diocese Dr Peter Paul Saldanha said, “I congratulate all the graduates who have put in a lot of efforts and showed good performance. The healthcare workers were in news working day and night taking risk. During lockdown, only doctors and nurses worked throughout to cater to the victims. I urge you all to continue the good service to people in future as well.”

The bishop presented awards to the students and gold medal to Dr Sandeep.

The bishop also felicitated Dr P Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya.

The annual report was presented by dean of Father Muller Medical College Dr Jayaprakash Alva.

Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions Fr Richard Coelho welcome the gathering, and administrator of Father Muller Medical College Fr Ajith B Menezes rendered the vote of thanks.
