Mangaluru University Evening College celebrates National Youth Day

Mangaluru, Jan 13: A special lecture on thoughts of Vivekananda on personality development was held at University Evening College, Hampankatta as part of National Youth Day. The lecture was held at Ravindra Kalabhavana after observing Covid guidelines and transmitted via Google meet online forum.

Narayana Guru Pre-University College Kannada Professor Keshava Bangera who was the resource person, in his lecture explained the importance and influence of the message of Swamy Vivekananda in the formation of personality of students.

The chief guest Mamata Achar, personal consultant of Mangaluru University said that students while pursuing degree courses should inculcate in their lives the principles, self-confidence and ideals of Swamy Vivekananda. Programmes such as youth day will be an inspiration for youth to develop self-confidence and awareness.

The college principal, Subhashini Srivatsa called on everyone to inculcate the principles of Vivekananda in their lives, grow as a force every day and build a beautiful society.

Student Ranjith said a prayer. Professor Venkatesh Nayak introduced the guests to the gathering. Professor Madhushree J and Sriyan welcomed the gathering. Student Tarun Bolar rendered a vote of thanks. Professor Kavya P compered the programme.
