Mangaluru: Don Bosco School Trasi upgrades to senior secondary

Mangaluru, Jan 12: Don Bosco School, situated in Hosadu Village near Trasi in Kundapur taluk recently received its official affiliation, upgrading itself to senior secondary school.

The premier institution, situated in a rural setting is well known for its quality education to students hailing from nearby villages and towns. Established in 2011, the school is on the threshold of celebrating the decennial year of its inception. To date, four batches of CBSE 10th standard students appeared for the board examination and have successfully secured 100 percent.

The elevation to senior secondary comes as a boon to students especially from Kundapur and Byndoor taluks in Udupi district, who can now avail the opportunity of continuing their CBSE education post 10th standard to 12th standard in Science and Commerce streams. “This is very big news for all of us. It makes us feel very happy that our school has been upgraded. The vision and the hard work of our dear principal, Fr Maxim D’Souza and the management have seen the light of day,” said coordinator of the secondary section, Tr Smitha.

“With the New Education Policy 2020 already announced, the school is fully geared to implement the new policy with the new structure of curriculum and pedagogy,” said the principal, Fr Maxim D’Souza. Don Bosco Educational Institutions are known for their quality education for the young. Present in 133 countries in the world, the focus is always to empower the young especially the less fortunate he added.
