Yadgir, Oct 29: The doctors have been fighting against coronavirus infection to save the patients. Their main aim is to protect the mental and physical well being of the infected persons.

The doctors who have been assigned with the task of treating the infected people have exhibited their love for the environment. By growing plants in the hospital premises, they have tried to provide a good environment for the patients besides improving the oxygen level. Their endeavour has also drawn appreciation from all around.

Flower and fruit plants and trees have been grown in the compound of the COVID hospital near Mudnal village in the taluk. The fruits and plants grown are beneficial for them. Nodal officer of the hospital, Dr Neelamma, has inspired a team of doctors, nurses and health department officials who have undertaken this gardening work.

The environment around plays a role in the recovery of patients. Aware of this fact, these employees have served the interests of the patients. They have planted medicinal plants, flower plants and fruit plants in the interest of the COVID patients for their benefit. About 50 plants and saplings have been planted along with plants of mango, guava, coconut and other fruits. Amrutha Balli, aloe vera and other medicinal plants have been grown here.

Dr Neelamma says that the patients get artificial oxygen at the hospital and that the plants have been planted to enable them to get natural air which will be beneficial not only to the patients but also to the hospital staff. If the environment is clean the patients recover faster, she adds.

The hospital staff have spent their money on raising this garden. It goes on to prove that unity is strength and service to the environment serves good health.
