Kundapur: Sankalpa Puja held for construction of Veerabhadra temple

Kundapur, Oct 27: A Sankalpa puja (pooja over resolution) to convert the abode of Veerabhadra deity as the stone-built temple in the courtyard of Mookambika temple here at a cost of several crore was held recently.

The former temple administration had obtained the government’s approval for the construction. It is intended to complete the construction within a specified time frame at an estimated cost of Rs two crore.

Maranakatte Krishnamurthi Manja and Shanta Krishnamurthi couple were in charge of the puja under the guidance of the temple priests Murthi Kalidas Bhat and Narasimha Bhat.

The temple management official and Kundapur sub-division official, K Raju, temple executive, Arvind Ayyappa Sutangadi, assistant executive, Govinda Naik, former management committee member, Vadamballi Jayaram Shetty and Ramesh Ganiga Kollur were present.
